We took a group of students from our Presidential Leadership Academy to Gettysburg. We had a great tour with two retired colonels who not only provided the history, but leadership lessons. You can see the whole set on my flickr account.
Sometimes you just get lucky. I was snappy shots of the island when this gull came across and the focus locked in on it. The Rock is a fascinating place to visit and shoot.

Fortunately Penn State’s University Park campus is a beautiful location, with lots of wonderful opportunities for photos. This was just a quick snapshot, really, on the way to a meeting.
